Hilary is a proud graduate of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where
she published on environmental governance in Bhutan and became addicted to mason jars
and endurance running. When she is not working the Thimphu karaoke circuit, you can
find her in Yangon, Myanmar or Ithaca, New York, researching environment, gender, and
geopolitics in new democracies.

Alexander Felson is an Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the Yale School of Architecture, and the director of the Urban Ecology and Design Laboratory.

Shane Hetzler graduated in May with a Master of Forestry degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He currently works on an initiative for the school that aims to engage private landowners surrounding the Yale-Myers Forest of northeastern Connecticut interested in enhancing forest conservation and management. When he is not reading and writing about the West, he can be found skiing the glades and fly-fishing the streams of New England with his dog Bathie. He looks forward to the day that he can one day return to his native Oregon to work on rural community conservation challenges facing his friends and neighbors back home.

Marissa Galizia is a joint-degree student at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and the Yale School of Management.

Omar is a second-year student at Yale's Forestry School, where he studies global environmental governance. He hopes to prevent climate change and biodiversity loss, but if he can't do that, he'll at least try to document what's happening.
