Hadley Tallackson, Editor in Chief

Hadley Tallackson is an environmental researcher and artist. Her art focuses on human connectivity, and her research explores the relationships between urban governance, land development, community ownership, and urban ecology. She is a second year student in the Master’s of Environmental Management at Yale School of Environment. She calls several states in the western U.S. home. She loves to observe plants, lichen, seaweed, moss, stones, water, and the way the natural world sparkles at us.

Katie Davis, Community & Events

Katie Davis is a writer, student, and researcher whose work focuses on watershed restoration and ecospirituality. Born and raised in Mississippi, Katie has lived in Maine, Connecticut, and calls Washington, D.C., home (with an enduring love of the Mount Pleasant neighborhood). Before grad school, she worked for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and in local D.C. bicycle organizing. Katie is currently pursuing a joint degree in Master of Environmental Management at the Yale School of Environment and Master of Religion and Ecology at Yale Divinity School,  following the currents of natural theology, animism, decolonial and queer ecologies, restoration ecology, and more-than-human ways of knowing. Katie find joy in building community with other lgbtq+ people, swimming, biking, white water kayaking, writing nonfiction and poetry, and finding wonder in the flows of life.

McKenzie Blaine, Social Media

McKenzie Blaine is a research scientist, environmental and social advocate, artist, and jeweler who is pursuing a masters at Yale School of the Environment. Her current studies investigate the intersection of human ecologies, social justice, and ecosystem health. McKenzie values the way art can inspire change in the world— recognizing the power it has to inform, shape, and change people’s perspectives. A quote which she continues to live by states, “the world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” – Albert Einstein

Elisabeth Schreiber, Digital Editor

Elisabeth Schreiber is a second-year student in the masters of environmental management program specializing in industrial ecology. She holds a wide range of interests from bio-based and upcycled materials to responsible production. She is passionate about public health, ecosystem conservation, and equitable sustainable development. In growing up around the arts, Elisabeth was always drawn to writing and the power of words in conveying the individual experience. At SAGE, she enjoyed seeing this power used to shape positive attitudes toward environmentalism.
